The Surface

The world is 71% water.
Almost none of it is built on.
We’re changing that.

The Shift

Water is no longer the edge of architecture.
With Aquastra, it becomes its foundation.

Archipelago

Multi-platform

Several platforms designed together and delivered under one contract, across one waterfront or a network of sites.

Priced per brief

Two composite platform hulls under construction in a fabrication hall, one finished in white gelcoat, one sealed under vacuum-infusion bagging, with open bay doors onto desert beyond.
UAE Manufacturing

Built in the Emirates. Deployed everywhere.

No import freight, no delivery voyage, no logistics premium. An imported platform carries all three before it reaches the water, ours does not.

Assurance

Engineered to be owned for decades.

How Aquastra de-risks a still-new category of asset.

A supply chain we control

Local-content eligibility and an Emirates supply chain, no import logistics and no overseas dependency on critical parts.

Engineered to survey

Hull platforms developed to recognised marine-survey and structural standards. A classification society is appointed at general-arrangement freeze and reviews every build independently.

Repeatable, not one-off

A platform-based system, proven geometry refined across the collection, never a bespoke experiment each time.

Single accountability

One team from specification through delivery and handover, and, on a multi-platform commission, across the asset’s operating life.

Frequently Asked

Common questions.

Is a platform classified as a boat or a building?

It depends on the deployment and the emirate. Many static, permanently-moored platforms fall outside conventional vessel regulation, which can mean simpler permitting and no crew-certification requirement, but this is confirmed case-by-case. We guide every client through the applicable UAE requirements for their site and use.

Is a maritime licence required to operate one?

For many static, moored deployments such as hospitality, accommodation or workspace, a maritime operating licence is typically not required. Mobile configurations need a standard UAE operating permit. Requirements vary by emirate and use, so we confirm the exact position for your deployment.

Can a platform be moored anywhere?

A berth or mooring permit is required from the relevant UAE authority for the emirate of deployment. We assist clients in securing these and maintain relationships across the major UAE marinas.

How long does delivery take?

Named lines: 5–18 months from order confirmation, depending on the line. Signature bespoke commissions: 18–24 months depending on specification.

Can a platform be relocated?

Yes. Every platform is designed to be repositionable. With an appropriate tow arrangement it can be moved to a new location, a core advantage over fixed waterfront construction.

How does a platform handle waste, water and power?

Black and grey water are held in onboard tanks and discharged to shore reception or a licensed collection service, never overboard. Fresh water is taken from a shore connection or generated onboard, and power comes from shore supply, onboard generation, or a hybrid arrangement with battery storage. Which combination applies depends on the berth, and it is specified with you before contract.

What environmental approvals does a deployment need?

It depends on the emirate, the water body and whether the platform is moored or fixed to the seabed. Fixed moorings and anything in a protected or coastal-development area typically require an environmental assessment alongside the marine works permit; a serviced marina berth usually does not. We map the applicable approvals for your site at the survey stage and support the submission, the permits are held by the operator, not by us.

Is financing available?

We can introduce clients to UAE-based asset-finance providers. The structures available and the share of asset value financed are set by the lender and the client’s profile, we help prepare the platform as a financeable asset and make the introductions.
