The Archipelago

When one platform
is not the brief.

A managed ecosystem on water.

Several Aquastra platforms, planned together as one place: a waterfront, a destination, an operating base or a network of sites. The owner holds the assets. Aquastra can plan them, build them and, where it is wanted, run them.

What an archipelago is

Not a collection of platforms.
An ecosystem.

Several platforms, chosen for one brief and placed with intent. Each is engineered to the same standard as a single commission. What changes is that they are composed, planned and delivered as one — and can be operated as one afterwards.

Built as individual assets. Planned as one.

One ecosystem

Every platform performs a defined role within the wider archipelago.

One programme

Design, engineering, production, placement and commissioning can be coordinated through a single overall programme.

One operating partner

Where it is required, Aquastra can continue beyond delivery and manage the people, systems and operations that keep the archipelago performing.

One platform performs a role.
An archipelago brings the roles together.

Six lines. The sixth is a berth — Signature is drawn to order.

Three scales

An ecosystem at any scale.

Three illustrative scales, not fixed offerings. They exist to make the idea legible before a site, a brief or a budget is set.

01

Compact

Up to 3 platforms

The most focused expression: compact hospitality, a defined government operation, a private retreat, or the first phase of a larger development.

A more complete composition, where complementary platforms perform several functions together on one water.

Three markets

One principle. Three different briefs.

A floating operations platform at sea: an open command floor of radar and chart consoles under cover, a rotary drone on the upper-deck landing pad, and patrol craft made fast alongside.
Market

Government & Defence

A coastline is covered by stations, not by a single point. Platforms placed across patrol, monitoring, accommodation and response zones — from a focused operating base to a distributed coastal presence.

Market

Commercial & Hospitality

A destination is somewhere to stay and somewhere to gather. Overwater keys beside a venue, with the service platforms that keep both running — from a compact overwater development to a hospitality destination.

Lagoon · 40 m
A private floating estate at rest on a quiet bay: a tiered residence platform with a smaller villa and a service platform moored alongside, navy hulls carrying a gold waterline, planting and a pool set into the deck.
Market

Private & Leisure

A private brief grows by function, not by floor area. A residence, then wellness, entertaining, guest accommodation and the support platforms that serve them — from a private retreat to a floating estate.

Residence · 35 m

A single platform is still the normal private commission. An archipelago is the exception: a brief that has outgrown one.Start with the collection

Every composition above is drawn to one shared scale, from each line’s published length.

Illustrative compositions drawn from the published collection, not offerings and not priced. Platform count and total platform length are the only figures that add up across lines — and a composition that includes Signature shows no total, because Signature is drawn to order between 20 and 55 m. Capacity is published per line, in that line’s own terms. Delivery is quoted for the first platform. Every archipelago is configured around market, site, purpose, operating model and technical feasibility.

Where a brief calls for the mobility role, Hub Link 15 carries it: the transit link between platform and shore. The platform counts above are the moored architecture; transit craft are additional to them.Hub Link 15

How it comes together

Compose. Plan. Deliver. Operate.

Contracted today

1

Compose

Select the platforms from the Aquastra Collection that the brief, the water and the scale actually require.

2

Plan

Determine the relationships between platforms, the site, deployment, infrastructure, access and operational requirements.

3

Deliver

Engineering, production, placement and commissioning coordinated through one programme rather than platform by platform.

Being built with founding clients

4

Operate

If the owner chooses, Aquastra can remain responsible beyond handover — the operating model founding clients are defining with us.

Ownership & operations
Ownership & operations

Own the assets.
We can run the ecosystem.

The owner buys and keeps the underlying Aquastra platforms. Running them does not have to mean building an operating company, a crew structure, a technical organisation or a hospitality team. Aquastra can provide that instead.

The platforms remain your assets. The operating complexity does not have to become yours.

How it connectsOwnership, operations and performance, from the owner through to distributions.
  1. 01

    Owner

The owner, developer or entity behind the brief.

  2. 02

    Owns the assets

The Aquastra platforms are bought and held outright.

  3. 03

    The archipelago

Composed, planned and delivered as one place.

  4. 04

    Aquastra operationsOptional

People, operations, technical, hospitality and performance — scoped per mandate.

  5. 05

    Operating performance

What the assets actually earn, reported against the agreed scope.

  • Owner distributions
  • Management fee + performance participation

Stage 04 is optional, and the performance structure applies only where an archipelago is operated commercially. Ownership of the assets does not change on either path.

Two paths

One asset base. Two operating models.

01

Own & Operate

Aquastra plans, engineers, builds, deploys and commissions. The owner’s own organisation operates the completed archipelago.

02

Own & Aquastra Manage

The owner keeps ownership of the assets. Aquastra continues under an ongoing operations and management mandate, and can run the organisation required to operate them.

Aquastra Operations

Scope is configured, not assumed.

Five areas of responsibility. Not every area applies to every archipelago — the mandate is set against the assets, the market and what the owner intends to keep in-house.

What it means by market

Government & Defence
Asset availability, readiness and technical management: crew, logistics, preventative maintenance, uptime and service levels, structured as a management or O&M agreement.
Commercial & Hospitality
Where the managed model matters most: staff, guest operations, technical operations, bookings, food and beverage, maintenance, revenue management, procurement and reporting. The structure may combine a management fee with performance participation.
Private & Leisure
Crew, technical management, housekeeping, provisioning, maintenance, guest readiness and asset management. Commercial management is added only where the owner chooses to operate eligible assets commercially.

This is a capability offered alongside the platforms Aquastra designs and builds. No archipelago is in service today; the operating model is being defined with founding clients.

Aerial view at dusk of Aquastra platforms moored around a larger central pavilion and joined to one another by timber walkways, so the group reads as one continuous place on the water.
Performance alignment

Aligned commercial interests.

Where an archipelago generates revenue, Aquastra’s continuing involvement can be structured as a management fee with performance participation — so the operator is paid against what the assets actually earn.

Aquastra

A management fee, plus performance-linked participation set against actual operating results.

Owner

Retains ownership of the assets, and the remaining economic benefit after agreed costs and Aquastra’s participation.

Owner distributions follow actual operating performance. Returns depend on the site, the market, the operating model and demand — nothing here is a projection, and no return is promised. Exact commercial terms are set per project.

Commercial basis

Entry

From AED 1.2M per structural platform, hull and superstructure, priced to configuration.

Lease

Monthly lease with a purchase option, available on the same platforms.

Archipelago pricing

Set per brief. There is no published multi-platform rate.

Operations

A separate mandate, scoped and priced against the operating model agreed for the site.

Built to grow

An archipelago does not have to be complete on day one.

Start with the platforms the brief requires today. Add accommodation, hospitality, operations, mobility or bespoke functions as it evolves.

  3. 03Flagship6–10 platforms

Expansion is not automatic. Every addition is subject to technical and site assessment — mooring, access, infrastructure, approvals and the water itself all decide what a site can carry.
